Blurring the threshold between aesthetic, form and function.

An interior design studio with roots in Warsaw. Founded in 2018 and led by Iza Koczanowska. ISLA works on projects of different scales, from apartment renovations to larger residential interiors, restaurant or concept store designs.

My design philosophy centres around atmosphere, dialogue with the local environment, the context of the surroundings and the history of the found space. I work with honest, durable and good quality materials, paying close attention to detail, texture and tactile experience. I am also passionate about local craftsmanship and design. I design with great respect for the client's personal preferences, balancing them with my own intuition to create an interior that not only looks good, but feels good and where the experience is at the heart of the design process.

My current studio is located near Zbawiciela Square in Warsaw. I also work on location, in co-working spaces, cafes or at zoom.
